ABOUT HER
Sarah is a warm and compassionate clinical psychology registrar who strives to build authentic connections with clients and provide a safe space where clients can process the challenges of everyday life. ​

Sarah has experience in providing treatment and support to adult clients, and enjoys supporting those experiencing a range of concerns, including:

Worry and generalised anxiety

Anxiety (social and performance anxiety, health anxiety, panic disorder, specific phobias)

​Sarah works from a trauma-informed perspective and draws from a range of evidence-based treatment approaches, such as cognitive behavioural therapy, schema therapy, and acceptance and commitment therapy, amongst others. She aims to apply these approaches in an integrative way, understanding the importance of tailoring treatment to the unique needs of each individual.​ She has worked with individuals of all ages, across various settings, including university clinics, private practice, and public mental health services.

Her experience working with individuals experiencing eating disorders at NSW Health's Western Sydney Eating Disorder Treatment Service has been a significant influence on her practice. It has deepened her understanding of various overlapping psychological processes that often occur alongside and maintain disordered eating, including anxiety, depression, perfectionism, obsessive-compulsive tendencies, emotion dysregulation, interpersonal difficulties, low self-esteem, self-criticism, cognitive rigidity, shame, and guilt.​​

QUALIFICATIONS
Sarah holds Bachelors and Honours (Class I) degrees in Psychology from the University of New South Wales. She also holds a Master of Clinical Psychology from the University of New South Wales. The research of her master’s degree examined the impact of social influences on eating behaviours in chronic dieters compared to non-dieters.

Sarah is a fully registered psychologist (PSY0002469913) with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and is currently completing the clinical psychology registrar program.

Sarah understands that early life experiences play a fundamental role in shaping the way we think, feel, behave, and relate to others. She believes that by exploring these experiences, clients can gain deeper insight into their current challenges and develop more balanced and adaptive ways of thinking and responding.
