ABOUT HER
Dr Amy Li is a clinical psychologist who enjoys working with individuals of all ages (children, adolescents, and adults). She has a particular interest in providing treatment and support for anxiety, OCD, low mood and depression, life stress, trauma, and family and relationship difficulties, as well as child and adolescent difficulties, such as adjustment to parental separation, and emotion regulation and behavioural difficulties.
Amy is experienced in providing treatment and support for a range of mental health difficulties, including:

Anxiety (worries and generalised anxiety, performance and social anxiety, panic attacks, agoraphobia, phobias, separation anxiety, and illness/health anxiety)

Obsessive compulsive and related disorders (OCD, hoarding, skin picking, and hair pulling)

Mood (low mood, depression, and bipolar disorder)

Trauma and related disorders (PTSD, complex trauma, and childhood trauma)

Stress (work e.g., burnout and imposter syndrome, relationship and interpersonal difficulties, adjustment difficulties, and school/study)

Emotion regulation and behavioural difficulties (anger, oppositional behaviour, and defiance)

Neurodivergence (autism, ADHD, developmental delay, intellectual difficulties, and learning difficulties)

Minority stress and related issues in LGBTQIA+, culturally and linguistically diverse, and First Nations communities (self-acceptance and identity, cultural and intergenerational issues)

Amy has worked in a variety of clinical settings, including university clinics, private practice, and public health (Rivendell Child, Adolescent, and Family Mental Health Service). On her non-private practice days, Amy works as a clinical psychologist at the Westmead Anxiety Treatment and Research Unit, a specialist service for adults with anxiety disorders.
Amy's PhD research investigated the brain mechanisms and pathways involved in regulating fear and anxiety, and she has presented this research at national and international conferences.
QUALIFICATIONS
Amy completed a Bachelor of Psychological Science (Honours Class 1), Master of Clinical Psychology, and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) at the University of New South Wales. Amy is fully registered as a clinical psychologist (PSY0002100832) with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). She is also a member of the Australian Clinical Psychology Association (ACPA), the Anxiety Practitioners Network (APN), and the Australian Association for Cognitive and Behaviour Therapy (AACBT).

Amy aims to create a warm and supportive environment for individuals to explore and process their concerns, as well as learn new skills to overcome their difficulties and achieve their goals.
