Gabriella has worked with adolescents, families, and adults across all life stages, from diverse cultural and educational backgrounds. She is experienced in delivering therapy to people managing medical issues, having worked extensively across a range of healthcare settings with individuals who are coping with a variety of health concerns. In particular, Gabriella draws from her years of experience in the field of psycho-oncology, where she works alongside individuals facing cancer – from diagnosis to treatment and beyond. Here, she provides therapy for any number of psychological concerns, such as: adjusting to diagnoses, survivorship, coping with treatment, living with chronic illness, navigating end-of-life concerns, and grief and loss. These challenges can manifest in myriad ways, including coming to terms with unexpected changes following diagnosis or treatment, coping with uncertainty, managing painful thoughts and feelings, having difficult conversations, existential concerns, and making meaningful life choices during and after illness. Gabriella also provides assistance to carers and families as they too grapple with these same difficulties in supporting loved ones through illness.
